Adding Pages, Folders, and Subpages to your Website

With Pixieset Website, you can easily add pages, folders, and subpages to your Website. This article will go over the ways that you can create and organize these items in your Website's menu.

Adding a Page

To add a new page to your Website's site menu:

  1. Click +Add Page > Page in the top right of your Builder Panel.Add_Page_KB_1.png

  2. Then, select a blank page or one of our curated page templates for your new page.Add_Pages_KB_2.png

  3. Once created, your new page will appear at the bottom of your Builder Panel's Site Menu listing. You can click and drag the page up and down on the Site Menu to re-order it on your website's menu, and click on it once to begin editing its contents.

Adding a Folder

Folders are used to display subpages in a dropdown menu, and they are a great way to keep your similar pages and menu links organized under a relevant section in your Site Menu. For example, you may have a "Client Area" folder that contains subpages for each of your past clients.

Folders can not be clicked on to reveal a page. Instead, visitors hovering over a folder in your Website's menu will reveal a dropdown menu containing its subpages.

To add a new folder to your Website's site menu:

  1. Click +Add Page > Folder in the top right of your Builder Panel, and name your new folder.Add_Folder_PW.png

  2. Once created, your new folder will appear at the bottom of your Builder Panel's Site Menu listing. You can click and drag the folder up and down on the Site Menu to re-order it on your website's menu, and then begin assigning subpages to it.

Creating a Subpage

Subpages are pages or links that reside under a parent page or folder. A subpage will only appear when a visitor hovers over its parent page or folder in your Website's menu.

To turn an existing page or menu link into a subpage:

  1. Hover over the page/link, and click ••• (More) > Subpage.

  2. The selected Page will then instantly become a Subpage of the existing parent page or folder above it in the Site Menu. This process can also be repeated to add multiple subpages to the same drop-down menu.

You can turn a subpage back into a main page by clicking ••• (More) > Mainpage.

Adding a Blog Page

You can add a blog area to your Website by clicking +Add Page > Blog.Add_Blog_PW.png

Adding a Link to your Menu

You can add a link to any webpage on your Website's Menu by clicking +Add Page > Link, and entering any valid URL.Add_Menu_Link.png

Deleting a Page or Folder

You can permanently delete any existing page or folder by hovering over it in your left-hand Builder Panel, and clicking ••• (More) > Delete.

Please note that once a page has been deleted, all your blocks and content within that page are immediately removed and cannot be recovered.
