Favorite lists are designed to simplify client proofing by allowing clients to mark their favorite gallery photos and organize selections into one or more lists. This built-in gallery feature is perfect if you need clients to select final images for editing, or if you want to offer a way for visitors to share specific highlights with others.

Managing favorite settings

Favorite lists are be enabled by default in a collection, allowing clients to create and manage their own selections while viewing the entire gallery. Enabling favorite notes also allows clients to leave comments on individual favorites, making it easier for them to provide feedback or specific editing requests.

To manage a collection’s favorite settings:

1. In the collection, go to Settings > Favorite.
2. Toggle on Favorite Photos.
3. Toggle on or off Favorite Notes.

Tip: If you want to include instructions or add selection limits for your clients, you can create a preset favorite list in the favorite settings.

Client experience

When viewing the gallery, clients can click the heart icon on any photo to add it to a new or existing favorite list, saved under their email address.

Once they start a favorite list, clients can:

• Continue updating their list as they review the gallery.
• Create multiple lists to organize different selections.
• Rename their lists at any time.
• Add notes to favorite photos (if favorite notes are enabled in the collection).
• Share favorite lists with others.
• Send the list directly to you and confirm they finished their selections.

This flexibility makes favorite lists ideal for collaborative proofing, allowing couples, families, or teams to collect and compare their selections before making final decisions.

Viewing favorite activity

You can view all favorite activity directly from the collection to track client selections and manage their lists. Favorite activity updates automatically, making it easy to stay informed throughout the proofing process.

To view favorite list activity:

1. Go to the collection.
2. Click Activities > Favorite Activity
3. Select the favorite list.

While viewing a favorite list details, you can download all the favorited photos, export or copy the filenames, send them to your client as downloads, and more.
