At Pixieset, we are committed to empowering you with powerful, intuitive tools to create a stunning photography website, whether you are new to website design or an advanced user. Since the introduction of our powerful drag-and-drop Flex Editor, building site pages that are true to your brand has been easier than ever. To help you further realize your creative vision, we are introducing new templates: fully customizable site designs built from the ground up using Flex Editor.
To get started, go to your website builder’s Design tab and click Change Templates. Selecting a new template will create a draft site, so you can begin designing without impacting your live site and its content.
What can the new templates do?
Our latest site templates are designed to give you full creative control over your website, from top to bottom. Check out some of the powerful tools available for these templates:
Add, position, or resize content freely in any block
Every content block is fully customizable so that you can create your perfect layout. Easily drag and drop content into your preferred position and fine tune settings like colors, padding, and more. Our site templates come with a full range of ready-made designs, curated to inspire and help you achieve your vision.
Ensure a perfect browsing experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile views
New templates allow you to customize exactly how your content is laid out across different devices. From desktop to tablet to mobile view, move your content around to ensure you make the best first impression. No matter how your visitors view your website, you can be confident that your site will stay picture-perfect.
Unlock your site menu and footer’s full potential
We know the small details make the biggest difference, so your site header and footer have more options than ever with the new templates. In your site header, control how your menu is laid out with powerful height and spacing tools, and elevate your dropdown menus further with customizable icons. For your site footer, add elements like maps, buttons, and contact forms so your visitors always have all the information they need to get in touch.
Ready to get started?
Start building your original photography website by going to your builder’s Design tab and clicking Change Templates. Alternatively, go to Settings > Draft Sites.
Can I still use the older themes for my website?
Older themes like Canvas and Avery, now referred to as “classic templates” remain available in the website builder. If your live site uses a classic template, its functionality will remain unchanged and you can continue to update it just like before.
Built on our original layout engine, classic templates will not have the latest design options of our new templates. If you anticipate needing additional customization for your site, we recommend exploring our new templates’ full drag-and-drop layout functionality.
