Accessing Pixieset Photo Editor
Photo Editor is easily accessed through your browser, directly from your Pixieset Dashboard. The editor works across laptop and desktop devices, with operating systems like Windows and Mac, giving you flexibility in how and where you work.
Alternatively, you can download the Pixieset Photo Editor Desktop App here.
Updates and improvements are applied automatically on both the web app and desktop application, so you always have access to the latest features.
Note: Pixieset Photo Editor is supported on Google Chrome.
Cull a large shoot down to your best shots
Culling is often one of the most time-consuming parts of the post-production workflow. Pixieset Photo Editor’s Smart Culling is designed to help you move from a large batch of images to a clean, intentional selection more efficiently.
Smart Culling can:
- Group similar photos from the same moment
- Flag blur or poor face quality
- Identify unrecoverable exposure
- Suggest your stronger shots and keepers
In addition to the AI suggestions, all sensitivity settings can be adjusted at any time. If you prefer, you can cull entirely by hand using star ratings, color labels, and flags. Your ratings and labels stay consistent as you move between culling and editing, so your workflow remains flexible.

Edit with your signature look, every time
Pixieset Photo Editor combines professional editing tools with AI that supports your style, helping you produce a consistent gallery without repeating the same adjustments on every image.
AI Styles are personalized editing profiles that apply adjustments on a per-photo basis. Rather than applying fixed settings, an AI Style understands your overall look and adapts to differences in lighting and exposure across a gallery.
You can create an AI Style:
- From a previously delivered Client Gallery
- From uploaded reference images
- By editing directly within the app
As you edit, you can refine your AI Style by marking additional reference photos. When a reference is marked, similar scenes are reprocessed to better reflect your latest edits. If you’re happy with the refinements, you can update your AI Style so it continues to reflect your evolving look.
All adjustments remain fully editable, and you can continue fine-tuning individual images at any time. Every AI-applied edit can be adjusted, reduced, or completely overridden using the full set of manual tools, including masks, color controls, and detailed tonal adjustments. You’re never locked into an automated result.

Publish photos straight to your Client Gallery
When your edits are ready, publish directly to a Pixieset Client Gallery without leaving the editor. Choose an existing gallery or create a new one during export, and your photos will be available for your client right away, with no additional upload step required.
You can also export locally in formats like PSD, TIFF, and JPEG with full control over quality, color space, and file naming.
Note: When publishing to a Pixieset Client Gallery, all photos in your project will be published to the selected gallery. Selecting specific images for publishing is not available at this time.
