While you can create a Mobile Gallery App from a collection, apps and collections are not linked to one another. There are some key differences between the two:
-
Client Gallery collections are most often used to deliver full sets of images from photo shoots to clients. You can share watermarked photos, deliver digital files, proof photos, and sell prints and downloads straight from the collection.
-
Mobile Gallery Apps are used to share sneak peeks and highlighted images with the client. These are designed to reflect a customized app-like experience for the client to have up to 200 images that are easily accessible right from their mobile device. Some helpful ways that photographers commonly use Mobile Gallery Apps include things like:
- Provide the app as a sneak peek of their photos before sending them the full gallery in a collection
- Gift clients "something extra" for free
- Encourage clients to share their app to help increase word-of-mouth referrals
- Turn client's favorited images from a collections into a custom mobile app
- Increase your offerings and sell custom mobile app as an add-on to your services
Note: As Mobile Gallery Apps are not intended to share all images from a session, the ability to proof photos, download, and purchase can be done from Client Gallery Collections only.
