How watermarks work in Pixieset
- Watermarks created in Pixieset apply to display images in your gallery.
- For print orders, the watermark is always removed.
- For original resolution or high resolution downloads (3600px), the watermark is always removed.
- For web-sized downloads (640px, 1024px, or 2048px), the watermark is removed by default but you can customize it to remain in place instead.
- Watermarks created in Pixieset do not apply to videos in the gallery or video downloads.
- If you update a watermark file, it does not impact the photos you already watermarked. You will need to re-apply the watermark to the photos in these cases.
Editing a watermark
You can edit elements of an existing watermark, such as its position and opacity, at any time. To modify a watermark:
- Go to Settings > Watermark.
- Click the watermark you’d like to edit.
- Customize the watermark’s opacity, scale, and position.
- Click Save.
Note: Your modified watermark will apply to new photo uploads. You can re-apply the watermark to existing photos if you need to update images that are already watermarked.
Updating or removing watermarks in a collection
If you need to replace or remove a watermark from photos, you can update it within the collection. To update or remove a watermark from a collection:

- Hover over the watermark you’d like to delete.
- Select the Delete icon.
- Click Save.
