Studio Manager can add your confirmed sessions to your personal calendar so you can keep track of upcoming bookings. Google Calendar Sync can also check your selected Google calendars for scheduling conflicts, while other calendar providers offer a read-only view of your confirmed sessions.

Connecting your Google Calendar
To connect Google Calendar:
- Go to Bookings > Calendar in your Studio Manager Dashboard.
- Click Calendar Sync > Connect Google Calendar.
- Sign in to your Google account.
- Give Pixieset permission to connect to Google Calendar.
Google Calendar Sync settings
After connecting Google Calendar, go to Bookings > Calendar > Calendar Sync > Edit to manage these settings:
- Add new sessions to Google Calendar: Choose which of your Google calendars will receive new confirmed session events.
- Check calendars for conflicts: Turn on this setting to select the calendars Studio Manager should check for busy events. When a busy event overlaps with a session type’s availability, the affected time slots are removed so clients cannot book them.
- Calendar invitations: Turn on this setting to automatically send clients a Google Calendar invitation after they book a session. The client is added as an attendee to the confirmed session event using the email address from their booking.
How syncing works
Google Calendar Sync exchanges information in both directions:
- Studio Manager sends confirmed sessions to Google Calendar. When a session is confirmed, Studio Manager adds it to your selected Google calendar. If enabled, it also adds the client as an attendee .
- Google Calendar sends availability information to Studio Manager. Studio Manager checks your selected calendars for busy events and removes overlapping time slots from your session availability. For example, if you add a busy event from 10:00 to 11:00 AM to your Google Calendar, overlapping time slots will no longer be available for clients to book.
Changes to confirmed sessions are continuously synced to Google Calendar while the connection remains active.
Important: Session details cannot be edited from Google Calendar. Make all changes to a session in your Studio Manager Dashboard.
Other third-party calendars
For calendars such as Apple Calendar, Outlook, or Yahoo Calendar, you can subscribe to a read-only, one-way feed of your confirmed Studio Manager sessions.
Important: This option only sends confirmed sessions from Studio Manager to your calendar. Studio Manager does not read busy events from these calendars, so calendar events will not remove conflicting time slots from your booking availability.
To subscribe:
- Go to Bookings > Calendar in your Studio Manager Dashboard.
- Click Calendar Sync > Subscribe.
- Choose an option:
- Click Default Calendar to open the calendar application connected to your device.
