Not sure if this applies to you?Only U.S. users who meet the IRS reporting threshold will receive a Form 1099-K. You’ll receive a 1099-K if your Pixieset Payments account meets both of these IRS thresholds:
If you don’t meet this threshold, you won’t receive a 1099-K form, but you may still get an email reminder to review your tax information. |
Under U.S. tax law, payment processors are required to report certain earnings to the IRS (and applicable state authorities) using Form 1099-K. If you receive client payments through Pixieset Payments, you may receive this form for tax reporting. Pixieset Payments partners with Stripe to prepare this form and it shows the total amount of payments you received during the year.
This guide will provide more information about Form 1099-K and how to ensure your tax details are up to date in advance so that you can report on your taxes appropriately.
What is Form 1099-K?
Form 1099-K is an IRS document that reports your gross payment volume—the total amount you’ve processed through Pixieset Payments. It doesn’t subtract refunds, fees, or chargebacks.
Pixieset Payments partners with Stripe to prepare and file 1099-K tax forms for eligible users in the United States. This form summarizes your earnings for the year and is shared with both you and the IRS to assist with your annual tax reporting.
Note: Pixieset can’t offer tax advice, but we recommend reviewing your 1099-K along with your other business income records to make sure everything aligns.
Who receives a Form 1099-K?
For Tax Year 2025 (forms sent in early 2026), you’ll receive a 1099-K if your Pixieset Payments account meets both of these IRS thresholds:
- You received $20,000 USD or more in total payments, and
- You completed 200 or more transactions in the year.
Even if you don’t meet these thresholds, you may still receive a 1099-K as your state might have different thresholds or may require it. You can also export your Pixieset Payments transactions anytime for your own records.
