Bulk creating collections is a quick way to stay organized during busy seasons or large projects. In Pixieset, you can bulk create collections in a folder, reducing repetitive setup and keeping your collection delivery workflow running smoothly.

Bulk upload collections with photos via desktop folders
Bulk uploading folders from your computer into Client Gallery is the simplest way to bulk create collections when your photos are organized and ready to share.
Each desktop folder will create its own collection, allowing you to load all your finished work in one batch. If you upload a desktop folder that contains subfolders, the system will combine all photos from those subfolders into a single collection.
Note: Drag-and-dropping folders into the uploader is recommended, as the ‘Browse files’ option only allows one folder at a time due to browser limitations.
To bulk create collections with photos and videos:
- In Collections, click the ▼ next to New Collection and select New Folder.
- Open your new folder and choose Bulk Create.
- Drag folders from your desktop into the uploader.
- Review the list of collections that will be created.
- Click Create & Upload.
- Select which settings you want to apply to the collections and click Continue.
Tip: Add a layer of privacy to your new collections by setting up a folder password.
Bulk create collections via a CSV
Bulk creating collections via a CSV file is ideal when you want to set everything up in advance, before the photos are ready. This method quickly generates empty pre-named collections so you are fully prepared for upcoming events or back-to-back sessions.
To bulk create collections with a CSV:
- In Collections, click the ▼ next to New Collection and select New Folder.
- Open your new folder and choose Bulk Create.
- Select Create via CSV.
- Download the CSV template and fill it out with your collection names.
- Drag the completed CSV file into the uploader.
- Review the list of collections that will be created.
- Click Create Collections.
- Select which settings you want to apply to the collections and click Continue.
Exporting folder details
Exporting your folder details into a CSV is an easy way to review and manage large sets of collections at once. When working in bulk, such as preparing multiple events, mini sessions, or ongoing client projects, the CSV gives you a clear snapshot of everything inside a folder without needing to open each collection.
To obtain a CSV export of your folder information:
- In Collections, select the folder.
- Click Export in the top right corner.
