Common error messages
- File type not supported: The file you’re trying to upload is not a supported format in Pixieset. Check your file extension (ie. JPEG, GIF). If you’re unsure you can refer to our helpful guide to supported image and video files here.
- Size exceeds specified limit: The file you’re trying to upload exceed the maximum size supported for files of this type in Pixieset. The limit (depending on the type of file) will be shown in the error message, but you can also refer to our guide here for more information.
Troubleshooting
If your dashboard doesn't show a clear error message about why your files aren't uploading or processing successfully, try these steps in order:
- Double-check your file sizes and format. Please ensure that there are no special characters in your filenames, and that you are uploading supported files. You can always refer to our file size/format guide here.
- Update your browser. Make sure you are using the most up-to-date version of Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Clear your browser cache or switch browsers to see if this helps.
- Troubleshoot your internet connection. Restart your device and router, or test using a different internet connection. You may also wish to run a network speed test, which you can do here: https://www.speedtest.net/
