With Pixieset Website, you can embed videos on any page of your site to grab your visitor’s attention and communicate what your brand is about. A well-placed video, whether it’s a short brand film or a behind-the-scenes look at a shoot, can take your photography website to the next level.

Before you start
- Pixieset Website supports video embeds from YouTube and Vimeo. You will need to upload your video(s) to either service in order to embed them on your site.
- Your video must be public or unlisted (YouTube/Vimeo).
- Your video must allow embedding (YouTube/Vimeo).
Adding a video
To embed a video your Pixieset Website:
- Hover between two content blocks and click the green + icon that appears.
- Go to the Videos category, and select a design.
- Click directly on your new video block and paste your YouTube or Vimeo link.
Tip: If you are using a video banner, you can adjust the video opacity and overlay color. For additional customization, you can modify your video blocks with the drag-and-drop Flex Editor. Learn more here.
Autoplaying videos
You may choose to have your video play automatically as visitors browse. This is a great way to set the tone and make your page content appear more dynamic. To set this up in your site builder:
- Click directly on your video.
- Toggle Custom Thumbnail off to reveal the autoplay option.
- Toggle Autoplay on.
Note: Autoplaying videos are supported across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. However, some functionality like sound may be restricted by your visitors’ individual browser or device settings.

Can I upload videos files directly to my website?
Uploading videos is not supported for Pixieset Website. You must upload the video to YouTube or Vimeo before embedding it with a video block.
Can I use embed code to add my video?
Some video platforms provide code for embedding videos on site pages. If you have a Pro Website or a Pro/Ultimate Suite plan, you can use the custom embed code block to embed videos to your site.
Note: The design and appearance of your video is determined by the embed code.
Why am I seeing a “Video URL field is invalid” error?
If you are seeing this error, double check the following:
- The link leads to a published video on YouTube or Vimeo.
- The linked video is embeddable (YouTube/Vimeo).
