Gallery opt-in checkbox
You can build your marketing list by displaying a consent checkbox in supported gallery flows. Visitors who check the consent box in their collections are added to your marketing audience and can be included in future email campaigns.
The checkbox can appear in the following places:
- Email registration: When visitors enter their email to access a gallery, or when they register for updates from a pre-release gallery.
- Store checkout: When clients enter their email while purchasing products.
- Photo and video download: When visitors enter their email before downloading files.
- Favorite sign-in: When clients sign in via email to create or view their favorites.
Enabling the opt-in checkbox
- Go to Marketing > Settings.
- Under Gallery Marketing Opt-in, select the gallery flows where you want the consent checkbox to appear.
Gallery pop-up form
You can allow visitors to sign up to email marketing through a pop-up form. This form will automatically pop up in your galleries after a short duration.
Note: If a client already consented to email marketing while registering their email address to view the gallery, the pop-up form won’t appear for them.
Enabling the gallery pop-up form
- Go to Marketing > Settings.
- Toggle Gallery Pop-up Form on.
- Customize your pop-up form (e.g. title, button, footer, image).
Marketing sign-up page
If you want to collect subscribers outside of your galleries, you can share a marketing sign-up page with your audience. The direct link is perfect for sharing via social media, email, text, or a QR code.
Note: The standalone sign-up page uses the same design as the pop-up form in your galleries.
Sharing the sign-up page
- Go to Marketing > Settings.
- Toggle on Gallery Pop-up Form.
- Scroll down to Sign Up Page.
- Copy the direct link.
Website opt-in content block
You can add a marketing opt-in block to your Pixieset Website to make it easy for potential clients to subscribe.
Adding a website opt-in form
- In the site builder, add a new content block.
- In the block library, click Marketing Opt-in.
- Select an opt-in design.
Tip: You can also add an individual opt-in element to any website block through the Flex Editor.
Website contact form checkbox
You can display a marketing opt-in checkbox in any of your Pixieset Website contact forms. This is an easy way to simultaneously grow your marketing audience while receiving inquiries.
Enabling the website opt-in checkbox
- In the site builder, click on your form.
- In the left panel, scroll down to Marketing opt-in.
- Toggle on Marketing opt-in.
Viewing your marketing contacts
You can review your marketing contacts in Marketing > Contacts. Along with each contact’s email address, you can view details like their status, opt-in source, and the collection(s) they originally subscribed from.
There are three statuses that can appear for marketing contacts:
- Subscribed: The contact is currently subscribed to receive marketing emails and can be included in future campaigns.
- Unsubscribed: The contact previously subscribed but has since opted out of marketing emails. Unsubscribed contacts cannot receive future campaigns unless they opt in again.
- Cleaned: The contact was automatically removed to help protect your campaign deliverability due to factors like invalid emails addresses or bounced emails. Cleaned contacts will not receive marketing emails.
Note: You can manually remove a marketing contact by clicking ••• > Delete.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
- Can I add all my past or existing clients?
- Can the marketing consent checkbox be auto-checked or disabled?
Can I add all my past or existing clients?
Email campaigns can only be sent to contacts who have explicitly opted in their collections to receive marketing emails. This ensures compliance with email marketing and anti‑spam laws.
Can the marketing consent checkbox be auto-checked or disabled?
The marketing consent checkbox must remain opt‑in and cannot be pre‑checked or automatically enabled. This ensures that contacts give clear, affirmative permission to receive marketing emails, which is a requirement for many email marketing and anti-spam laws.
