A domain is the main part of a web address, such as pixieset.com. It helps people find your content online.
Every Pixieset account includes default domains for your Website and Client Gallery. You can use these free addresses or connect a custom domain that you purchased from another provider.

Understanding your domain options
There are two types of domains you can use with your Website and Client Gallery:
- Default domain: An address provided with your Pixieset account. It is based on your Pixieset username.
-
Custom domain: An address you purchased from your Pixieset dashboard or a third-party domain provider, such as
yourdomain.com.
Finding your default Pixieset domain
Your Pixieset Website and Client Gallery have separate default domains:
| Product | Default domain format | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Pixieset Website | yourusername.mypixieset.com |
Go to Website > Settings > Domain. |
| Client Gallery | yourusername.pixieset.com |
Go to Client Gallery > Settings > Branding |
Tip: Replace yourusername in these examples with your Pixieset username.
Changing your domain
Changing your default domain
You can change the beginning of both default domains by editing your username under Profile icon > Account.
Important: Changing your username automatically changes your Website and Client Gallery links. Links you shared previously will stop working, so you will need to share the new links with your clients.
Connecting a custom domain
A custom domain can be connected to your Pixieset Website, Client Gallery, or both.
Before connecting a custom domain, you need:
- A purchased domain, either from your Pixieset dashboard or a third-party provider.
- An upgraded Client Gallery, Website, or Suite plan, depending on the product you are connecting the domain to.
