The protection of your work, and of your client’s privacy, is something we value highly at Pixieset. We offer several security features which give you control over how your Collections are viewed and accessed in Pixieset, allowing you to serve a variety of client privacy needs. While you automatically have a Homepage for your work, you can choose to turn this page off, along with whether or not your Collection is shown there, and the privacy settings for each individual gallery.

Turning your Homepage On or Off
Pixieset provides a Homepage from which all of your public collections can be accessed, allowing visitors to see a selection of your work in one place.
The Homepage is turned On by default. If you would not like a Homepage for your work, this feature can be turned Off at any time in your Client Gallery Dashboard by clicking Settings > Homepage and setting the toggle to Off.

Homepage Password
You can add a Homepage Password if you would like to have the Homepage turned On but protected by a password. This way, you could share a selection of your work on a single page for easy browsing and it could only be accessed by those with whom your Homepage Password has been shared.
To add a password to your Pixieset Homepage go to the Client Gallery Dashboard > Settings > Homepage > Homepage Password. From there, enter the password of your choice or click the Generate button to have a password automatically generated for you.
Collection Privacy Options
To access a Collection’s privacy settings, click the Settings icon > Privacy. From here, you can choose your options for the Collection Password, Show on Homepage, and Client Exclusive Access settings.
Collection Password
If you’d like anyone with access to the collection to be able to freely view the images, you may not need any password in place. That said, some clients may have additional privacy requirements.
Setting a Collection Password allows you to put a password in place for the Collection as a whole. Any visitors would need to enter this password before viewing the photos in the gallery. This password is entered in the Guest Access field when visiting the Collection link.

Show on Homepage
Your Collections are accessible from your Pixieset Homepage if it is turned On. You can use the Show on Homepage toggle from your Collection’s settings to determine if it is displayed on or hidden from your Homepage. This may be helpful for clients who do not wish for their Collection title and thumbnail to be featured on your Homepage.
Managing your Client Gallery Homepage
Note: You can also choose to show or hide folders from your homepage. If your collection is part of a folder, its visibility on your homepage is determined by the settings of the folder in which it is contained.
Client Exclusive Access
Client Exclusive Access allows you to provide a unique password for your Clients (which is separate from any general Collection Password). This way, visitors can enter the Collection as Guests or Clients, and Set visibility can be determined based on the password used to enter the collection. You can also allow your client to mark images as private.
Only visitors who enter this password in the Client Access field when visiting the Collection will have access to those Sets/any photos marked as private. Using these options can be helpful with different types of clients, for example, if the couple for a wedding shoot would rather have some images accessible only by them, and the remainder accessible by any guests visiting the Collection.
To turn on Client Exclusive Access for your Collection, visit the Collection’s Settings tab > Privacy > and toggle Client Exclusive Access to On. Once turned On, you can add a client password, determine which sets can be accessed only by the clients, and allow the clients to mark photos within the Collection as private.

Setting up a Template of your Preferred Collection Privacy Settings
If you regularly serve clients with specific privacy needs, you can save your preferred settings for those clients using a Collection Preset. This allows you to create templates for your favorite collection settings, including privacy, to apply quickly when creating new collections.
You might want to password-protect all portrait shoots, or password-protect your boudoir collections while also hiding them from your homepage.
