In Client Gallery, a collection password is a recommended starting point for adding privacy to a collection. Once enabled, visitors must enter the shared password before they can view the collection’s photos.

Note: For more advanced privacy options, including separate access and viewing permissions for clients and guests, consider setting up Client Exclusive Access.

Setting a collection password

You can enter your own collection password or generate one from the collection’s privacy settings.

To add a collection password:

1. In Collections, click into the collection.
2. Go to Settings > Privacy.
3. Add or generate a collection password.

Client experience

A collection password applies to the entire collection. Whether visitors open the collection from its direct link or your Pixieset Homepage, they must enter the same shared password before they can view the photos.

Note: When you preview your own collection while logged in to Pixieset, you will not be asked for the password. To test the visitor experience, open the collection in a different browser or log out of Pixieset first.
