The Photo Cover for your Collection is the first thing your clients will see when they view their photos. As the first impression, you should choose a Photo Cover image that properly represents and showcases the event.
Note: If you are using the Video Cover feature, you still need to select a Photo Cover image to be used for mobile viewing and Sharing the Collection.
You have fifteen templates to choose from for the Photo Cover design: Center, Frame, Split, Left, Label, Border. Album, Classic, Cosmos, Reef, Bondi, West, Oakwood, Classic, Edge, and Anchor. You can also choose to use no cover photo for your gallery design. You can see a preview of how these templates look on your Photo Cover image under the Change photo tab by simply clicking on each option.
Changing the Photo Cover
Option 1: By going to the Collection > Collection Settings > Design (also accessed by clicking on Change Cover) and selecting Change photo (as shown above). This allows you to upload a brand new photo, directly to the Photo Cover without adding it to the Collection.
Option 2: By selecting one of the images you have already uploaded to the Collection. Simply click the image you'd like to use as the Photo Cover image, and then use the More button to select Make Cover:
What is the ratio/dimension of the Photo Cover?
If we tried to force a 1600x1200 Photo Cover image into an iPhone portrait mode screen that only has a 640x1136 resolution, the photo would be extremely distorted. Instead, we have to maintain the aspect ratio and center the Photo Cover around the focal point, while still filling up all of the space on the screen. Because of this, there isn't really a standard ratio, as it will depend on the screen size/device etc.
