Category Tags are a great way to organize Collections within your Client Gallery! You can assign multiple Tags to each of your Collections, allowing you to easily sort your work into different categories (i.e. Wedding, Family, Newborn, etc.). This article will go through how to add and view Category Tags, as well as answer some frequently asked questions.
On this page:
Adding Tags to a Collection
There are currently 3 different ways you can add Tags to a Collection within your Client Gallery: when creating a new Collection, within the Collection Settings, and within your Client Gallery Dashboard. With each of these options, you can include multiple tags by separating each tag with a comma (e.g. Wedding, Maternity, Family), or by pressing Enter/Return on your keyboard after you add each one.
Option 1: Creating a New Collection
When creating a new Collection, you can add tags by clicking the Advanced options green text within the pop-up window.
Note: Advanced options will only be displayed if you do not have any Collection Defaults created.
You can then enter your tags directly within the Tag your collection field.
Option 2: Within the Collection Settings
To add Tags within the Collection Settings, go to the Collection > Settings Tab > Collection Settings. From there, simply scroll down and enter your tags within the Category Tags field.
Option 3: Within Your Client Gallery Dashboard
You can also add Tags to a Collection directly from within your Client Gallery Dashboard! To add the tags, click the More Options (•••) button to the far right of the Collection's name and then select the Quick Edit option.
From within the pop-up window, you can enter your preferred tags within the Category Tags field and then click the Save button.
Viewing Your Category Tags
You and your clients can view all of your Category Tags on your Client Gallery Homepage to easily filter your Collections.
Additionally, you (the photographer) can view your Category Tags and filter your current Collections within your Client Gallery Dashboard.
Can I have specific Category Tags applied to all of my Collections?
Definitely! If you would like future Collections to have the same tags applied, simply edit or create a new Collection Default and configure the Category Tags within the Collection Settings section.
This will ensure that you can create new Collections using your existing Category Tags for easy categorization!
Can I remove a Tag?
If you find that you need to remove a tag, you can absolutely do so! Simply click the ✕ icon to the right of the tag to delete it from the Category Tags field and then click the Save button once complete.
Note: You will need to remove the tag from any applicable collections individually.
